GEC sponsors an exclusive Art Salon, Stepping into Universality, featuring a unique selection of Nigeria’s finest paintings and sculptures from the Universal Studios of Art and six guest artists.

According to our CCEO, Mr. Joe Obiago, “Global Energy (GEC) has been working with the best of Nigeria’s artists for many years, building up a significant collection of Nigerian modern art for the company since 1991. GEC’s contribution to supporting the creative industries in Nigeria is part of our corporate social responsibility work to nurture and showcase the best of Nigeria’s immense creativity. Over the years we have mentored many young artists, supported numerous art exhibitions, and also served on the board of various arts & culture establishment including the Ben Enwonwu Foundation, which is a leader in art management and curatorial work.”

Stepping into Universality is our most recent collaborative effort with the Universal Studios of Art and their colleagues, in which we are proud to feature the works of Patrick Agose, Monday Akhidue, Ebenezer Akinola, Olapeju Alatise, Bunmi Babatunde, Ndidi Dike, Wallace Ejoh, Bisi Fakeye, Osatuma Iyomona, Joshua Nme, Alex Nwokolo, Fidelis Odogwu, Edowa Oguigo, Abiodun Olakun, Kolawole Olojo-Kosoko, Mufu Onifade, Tayo Quaye, Frank Uduh, Josephine Obo-McLeod, Haliru Abdulahi, Efosa Ero and Boma Joe Jim.
